To combine a few of these tips: Why research beforehand is so important is because you're not going to be able to take all of your pictures at the perfect time of day. You're going to have to take some in harsh light. So, by researching, you can find out which shots you feel will be the most epic and be able to plan those ones for at sunrise or sunset.
