The LG G4 OLED TV could be the best TV in 2024, but how does it compare to the LG G3 OLED? I’m going to put the two side-by-side in a head-to-head to see which is better, what the differences are and if it’s really worth the upgrade.

Two 65” TVs provided by LG so I could make today’s video, thank you for sponsoring, but all opinions are 100% my own.

Who's got an OLED? Let me know what you're using.

What I instantly noticed about the G3 was how bad the colour settings were out of the box. After two evenings I finally realised that the energy saving mode was still enabled.

Its no point change tv every year, better wait 4-6 years for really better features, brightness etc🔥

Both tvs are very very similar while watching content because the peak brightness improvements are incrimental. But for gaming they are night and day because Lg now implemented their colour boosting algorithm into game mode ( all other Lg Tvs dont use the panels full potential in game mode which has been a well known problem for years )

I have a 65 inch G1 and its still a great TV after 3 years. LG fixed a lot of the issues it was having when the G1 was first released. Maybe I'll upgrade to the G6 or the G7.

Considering the price of both tv's at July 2024: 65G3 €1900, - & 65G4 €3300, - my pick is the G3

I got an insane deal at Best Buy for the 77" G3 which was only $2, 200, and I could not pass the opportunity. Great video!

FeaturesI'd like to see:
1. Build your own homescreen. Make it more like android where you can resize and move apps, cards, ads, etc.
2. A wider set of mounting points added would be nice. I just ordered the G3 77", and I would like to put it on a stand/eet that put the feet much closer to the outside edges to make room for a center channel or sound bar underneath (as opposed to out in front of the LG base, or on a shelf below.
3. A smart, home theater setup feature would be cool. One where you enter in the types and/or model numbers of your soundboard, receiver, apple tv/roku/etc, game consoles, etc. and then based on what's in your system, and maybe some questions about preferences, it will tell you how to connect them all together for the best picture, sound, and performance. It could show wiring configurations on the screen, as well as the ports
4. Detachable/replaceable cord
5. If the tv could control led backlight straps it would be awesome. What I am imagining is a strip of LEDs that plug into the TV's USB. Then the tv controls the color of the backlight based on what is on the screen. There are backlight kits with a camera that look at the screen, and use that to control the lights, but I feel like the tv could easily send that information out of a USB to the light source.

Nice OLEDs. I have the LG C2 48" which works very well for me. I usually upgrade my TVs roughly 5-7 years unless something has gone wrong with it. I don't see the need to upgrade so often, unless you sell and buy your TVs every year which is a bit more of a hassle than I'm willing to go through every year.

I hadn't bought a new tv in about 7 years so i ended up picking up the LG G4 cause i didn't really have a budget i wasn't about to settle i was getting what i wanted no matter the cost. But u can't go wrong with either one they both look amazing. Even the C series looks amazing

I have the 65" G2 and 77" G3. Great review. I found a slight difference between the G2 and G3. Probably the same as you have commented from the G3 to the G4. Any Gallery series TV is an excellent choice and you can't go wrong with any of this LG product.

Been Playing Call of Duty on LG OLEDS since 2019… and I’m slaying people on PC while sitting comfortably on my couch playing on a 65 LG G3 it looks beautiful and the 120hz feels great with VRR…can’t wait for Black Ops 6 on a LG OLED 💯💯🥃

Good old fashion upselling. I have the G1 and it looks amazing! Next year when the G5 comes out. They will tell you why you should get the G5 and how the G4 isn't as good as the G5. I don't keep my OLED in sunlight so that isn't a factor. The brighter you make TV's the hotter they will get and the shorter the life span of the TV.

Great video! I have a G3 and I absolutely love it. You should make a video about your picture settings, your tvs always look great!

I have C2, and no complaints, except for brightness in such areas like sun, direct flashlight etc
