Been paving for 45 years. This is the first video on paving I have seen where they actually knew what they were doing and did a great job !!!

Looks great. I'd like to see a fleet update and general maintenance video.

Nice upgrade to the property! They did a very good job on that driveway and that helps the look and value of the property. Wintertime will be much easier to get through.

Hey buddy was just thinking about your channel the other day. Huge congratulations! Very expensive but very worth it! Damn 16k though, I would have guessed 25 as well! Beautiful

I just laid recycled asphalt on my driveway in May of this year. They quoted me $9, 000 for recycled asphalt and $15, 000 for hot. Huge difference in quality, but as you mentioned, I’d you are laying either, you have to have a backfill: or in my case metal edging to keep it in place. Could have done backfill, but thought edging would be a permanent fix so that the water wouldn’t start to drain off in spots and have to be replaced. Asked if I decided to repave with hot if I would be cheaper, and would still cost me what I originally paid for the recycled, since they used 2-3” of mix and it takes the same amount of time and manpower to repave. Recycled is a lot like having a gravel on top of a base. It works, but if it rains, it will develop ruts and snow removal is terrible because you take off the top layer of gravel when you plow. Hot asphalt is the way to go if you can.

I had my 5, 600 sq ft driveway and parking area resurfaced at 2" thick over a 3-4" original paved back in 1988 (over 70 tons). It cost me $23, 000 in mid-2020. Post-Covid-19 the price went up at least 30-35%. It's more expensive in Hawaii. Overall, came out pretty good but have several minor "bird baths". Very difficult to find top-notch local contractors.

Be careful of the Ivy, do mint too, they’ll take over and are delicious (keeps a lot of rodents away as well).

They did a great job! I’m getting ready to have my 10, 000 square foot parking area paved along with 1, 700 linear feet of driveway. How thick was your asphalt after compaction?

We having 550 feet long by 10 feet wide done today. NW NC. The grading was done four days ago. It was steep loose rock with deep crevices left behind after Helene. $23, 000

Thanks for the transparency. I haven’t gotten quoted yet, but what you paid is about what I have seen on different sites with calculators. I have a 1800ft long road that leads to the house that I’d like paved one day. But by your numbers I’d be looking at close to $60k 😅🙃

I just had my driveway done. It's 1500' long. I had truck loads of crushed asphalt brought in and spread and rolled. Now it's not as smooth as highway asphalt but a decent all weather drive now. I suppose around 15000 sq ft of drive and I paid $20K for the job. I think they laid down around four or five inches of asphalt but it's now compressed down some as we drive on it over and over. Now no more mud or dust every trip down the drive. I've priced crushed concrete and iron ore but this was cheaper and much better looking drive. For the last 20 years we've driven on compacted silt and it was like concrete so the base under the asphalt is not going anywhere.

Awesome video as always Kordare. The new driveway looks awesome do you have a gate at the begining of your driveway because how great it look people might mistake it for a public road.
