Out-of-office is a useful feature in Microsoft Outlook. When you can not check your emails while on vacation or just on leave for some days, you can set automatic replies.
This is a reply to the people automatically without your intervention.

You can set a custom message for the automatic replies. You can set a different custom message for the people in your organization and different messages for the people outside of the organization.

It also has some advanced rules, where you can enable conditions like forwarding an email when it is from a particular contact, etc.
