"Let's flash a new firmware to my lightbulb". Welcome to 2018 :D A few years ago this would have sound like total madness :D

Just received my B1 Bulb, installed the header pin, then put on the alligator clip, and the RX snap from the PC board. Had to un-solder the round board and flipped it over, and luckily, in the back, there is another set of pad (3.3v, RX, TX, GND) that I can solder in soft wire. Got TASMOTA 6.4.1 on it, and it's working great. The GPIO-0 to ground trick is what put it into Flash mode, and the GPIO is next to the GND pin for the rev. R2.

Dr.Zzs, can you look at the Manufacture date of your Sonoff B1's, located on the PCB. Mine have a Manufacture date of 2017-11-20. I just bought 4 B1s' from Amazon, and they are different then yours. My B1's are "Sonoff B1 R2" which have 3 groups of 4(2 cool, + 2 warm) LEDs, with 1 RGB between each group of 4. ALL LEDs are on the outer (lower), PCB. And the center(upper) PCB is really congested with componetes. I can't seem to find the GPIO 1 pin...
If I can't flash them I may have to return them... :-(

Nice video as usual. Just ordered a Sonoff SV the other day for no particular reason, but the LED strip idea did set off some lights in my head :)

I had a bear of a time getting the B1 to work in HA a few months ago. This would have been very helpful. Thanks !

Fantastic video! You've answered some questions I've been asking for a long time! Are you happy with the color intensity on the B1's? I've been told their color brightness is weak. But, I haven't seen them in person. What do you think?

I used to set up the holiday lights for Fort Sam Houston in Texas, for their holiday festivities. The whole parade field was decorated to "dance" to music. They would do a presentation, then music would play and the Christmas tree and surrounding lights would be in sync with the music. IT was a super expensive system from "wowlights" called Light-o-rama I think. Would be cool to be able to make a system like that for much cheaper.

Hi Dr.Zzs
I just got a couple B1 bulbs. Is there any code out there to help with automating those bulbs with Tasmota? For instance, at certain time or if motion, etc. change to these colors, etc. Or color themes to run like the LED strips?

Another great video. Thank you DrZzs. Is it possible to control Sonoff B1 without mqtt but only with Command line (http) commands? Thank you.

Hi Dr.Zzs
Can I use the original flashing method for the Sonoff basics and SV to flash these bulbs? Meaning, just use the Audrino method instead of the Flash-Ez that I'm not familiar with. Maybe a novice question, but yup I'm a novice for sure. Side note, I got the garage to work that we spoke about before. All your videos are awesome...THANKS!

Thanks again Sir for your tutorial, it is great. Can you make a tutorial how to use Sonoff RF Bridge with Tasmota firmware, it will be interesting to operate RF wall switch like SESOO or LIVOLO via Home Assistant. Good luck.

Question for you. I've seen some of the projects like for example the Christmas light setup. When I copy and paste the automation into my yaml files it doesn't like them. I noticed some stuff missing like serial numbers and stuff. Are you not using hassio?

I followed your guide and everything worked great, just have one small hiccup. If I power on the light, then set my temperature and brightness, then power off with the wall switch, when I power it back on it turns on at the same settings that it was, but then a few seconds later it changes to a dim blue. My guess is that as soon as it connects to mqtt it defaults to that but I have no idea how to stop it from doing that. Any advice?

I ordered some Sonoff B1 Bulbs which came today. I received the new version which is a "B1 R2 CTRL" and now has sets of 4 white leds instead of 2. The pin-out has changed and I don't see GPIO 0 anywhere. Has anyone successfully flashed these?
