this doesn't work. if you select "no i don't have a photo" it just takes you to their help centre which offers no help at all

Trevor I did all the steps but it still lead me to the code being sent to the number I no longer have access to. I had two step authentication set up, so it’s asking me for access codes.

Well this is the last step for me. You’re the second person that said upload your ID and send it. I’ve worked so hard to get my Instagram how I wanted it and so much stuff saved that I need. Starting over would be a disaster

I set up two factor authentication for my band account because my other account got hacked so I was trying to be safe. When I set it up I didn’t know you had to use an authenticator app for the code so that was never set up. Instagram decided to log everyone out who was using the account and now there’s no way to get in. Even the video selfie crap isn’t working when there’s obviously pics of us on the account and since instagram don’t got actual people to talk to, my account is just lost now. How sad.

No didn't work. @1:07 it doesn't take me to that screen it takes me to help center via google browser when i click cant reset. I don't have access to my old phone number. Funny thing is, I have plenty of photos of myself on my account but the facial thing keeps saying no. So pretty sad how IG just fucks you when you lose ur number to your account for recovery.

Can someone please help me!! I know my password and email and username but because I have this 2 factor authentication I can’t get into my account because I don’t know my backup code and don’t have an authentication code?? What can I do to tell you them I’m me so I can get into my account?? So frustrating!! When I do the face recognition thing they always send me an email that “
We weren't able to confirm your identity from the video you submitted. You can submit a new video and we'll review it again” and I’ve submitted a photo like 11 times in the past 2 months I’ve logged out of Instagram!

What do I do if:

I recently purchased new iPhone 14. I did not know I had to export or transfer my 2-step authentication codes to my new phone. I gave Apple my old phone and they wiped it clean for the trade in on my new phone.. my Instagram account requires me putting the 6 digit code in order to log in.. I have no access to these codes anymore. I’ve literally tried resetting the password every time and it keeps asking me for codes or backup codes.. there isn’t even a number to call and request help on this issue. My account is even verified through META in which I had to send in photo of my ID etc.. do you have any recommendations?
