Go around the edges with a brush first then roll… 😃 from a painter’s wife!

It's actually better to start with a brush and do the edges, being sure to feather the paint, then you use a roller to do the inner or larger spaces. This produces a more professional looking paint job.

You did a super job. Explained every step well. Since you asked, I would add a curtain valance on the window and a print shower curtain to warm up the space. The flooring and the grey wall worked perfectly! I would have used grey towels to keep the theme. Adding hardware really made your efforts pop. Liz, you are a delight to watch. God bless your very talented hands! I'm older now but when I was in my mid-twenties I loved doing these kind of projects! The bathroom looks amazing!

We are just finishing a complete redo of one our bathrooms. We also had the honey oak cabinet, but we went a different route. After peeping the wood I did 2 coats of rich mahogany and over it one coat of espresso (gel stains) the 3 coats of poly. The faucet, handles, toilet handle, towel holders and tp/wipes holder all went oil rubbed bronze. The walls we did a coat of plaster over to give them a different texture and cover old holes then painted a light tan. Accessories like towels, rugs, wall decor are light green. Since we live in a log house it seemed that darker cabinetry and hardware fit better than white - which I was kind of sad about because I love white cabinetry!

Love the way it turned out! I would have spray painted the shower curtain rod gold and also the towel hook to match the other fixtures. Love the pictures. Job well done!!!

Under 300? Even with the faucet and both light fixtures? Everything must be real cheap where your at, here in my neck of the woods, a gallon of paint is $70, not including taxes, then with two light fixtures a faucet and the cupboard knobs, it would be more that 300 for sure! Everything looks nice and coastal!

I'm currently looking for vinyl for my bathroom window as I have neighbors that have windows that face my bathroom. I see what you used but from the outside looking in, is it truly giving privacy or can you see clearly a person in the bathroom. Especially at night when you turn on the light in the bathroom but it's dark outside 🤔

ReThunk Junk by Laura is great for cabinets. Just spray with their Prep It, wipe with a cloth and paint with one of their colors. Super simply 😊
