This has been an ongoing process, there is even a reality type of show called the curse of oak Island playing on the history channel Canada. So I would take this video with a grain of salt

On another note, there is a song by a Canadian band called Great Big Sea and the song is called Captain Kidd. Have a great day! 💞

In the 10 seasons of The Curse of Oak Island, I still have yet to miss an episode! I remember hearing as a child theres also a hole in Dalhousie, NB.

The Curse of Oak Island is incredibly well-known folk lore around here. I'd like to go see it somethime as its only about a 7 hour drive from where i live in NB, i usually go up to Cape Bretton instead, very rarely do I ever drive down the southeast coast of NS. Beautiful drive though in the summer, i do highly suggest doing it at least once. Anyhow, take care everyone.

As a few others have mentioned, there is a show documenting the current search on the island. It can be a tad boring at times (most times, to be honest), but it has its exciting moments. They haven't made much progress in (I think) 10 seasons though. I personally enjoy the parts where they discuss the different theories more interesting than most of the actual searching they do.

Yeah, it is... a mystery. They even have a TV series, called (I think) the Curse of Oak Island... the series to the best of my knowledge run more than 1 season and... found nothing significant.

I mean, there is "something odd" about the hole and... there will always be innovations and curious people to keep trying.

It is weird that logs were deep under there but I think whatever treasure was there is long gone.

Look up The history channels The curse of oak island. 10 seasons. And bloody amazing, evidence off vikings, Templar, Spanish, French, English military, masons. Priates lived there. Unbelievable. Bodies from the middle East, references in Shakespeare, royal documention in Spain, Portugal, England, France.

Hi! I've been to Oak Island several times. This is a totally fascinating mystery and treasure hunters have been searching here for over 225 years. The money pit area has been mostly privately owned but I think the province of Nova Scotia owned it briefly. Treasure hunters have spent even entire lives (not to mention dying) trying to get to the bottom of the mystery. Life Magazine listed Oak Island as one of the top maritime mysteries of all time. There are libraries of books written about Oak Island. I recommend reading a few of the books, your jaw will drop. By the way, the area has been totally One time a frustrated treasure hunter threw dynamite down the pit so that no one else would get the treasure. Thank you for the reaction!

Look for a show called The Curse of Oak Island.
OK, the year was 1795, not 1799.
"The treasure will only be revealed once seven lives are lost and all the oak trees are gone."
No pirate had anything to do with the Oak Island mystery.
