I live on the east coast of Massachusetts near the New Hampshire border. Rolling hills and some fairly steep hills on occasion. Went to a single Wolf 46T up front and love it. At some point I will jump up to a 48T. No front derailleur noise or issues. At 59 years of age, I am now looking for simplicity over style. No more front derailleur for me.

Not as good as my hybrid bike, the Decathlon riverside 500 but decent enough...Jonas is lucky, I don't have time to compete in La Grande Boucle !

Im not a fan of the frame aesthetics and star trek cockpit, but that is an absolute weapon..

Very Very cool !
I have had an 11/40 cassette fitted at a time I genuinely needed easy gears (together with 50/34 at the front). I could now live without the 11/40 cassette, but would not change for anything in the world. The large gear capacity at the back means I am almost always on the 50 at the front. I am genuinely thinking of 1X on my road bike when I will shortly need to change my transmission.
I am happy that Jonas has copied my trend … I set it in 2016 already ! 😅😂

I own both SRAM 2x and 1x, love them both. For road I still prefer a classic setup with 50/37-10/28 but for off roading and bikepacking I love 1x. Not a single chaindrop yet!

Much smaller saddle to bar drop compared to the extreme positions of other pros!

It's fun when money is no object...😝
I still ride the aluminum P3 (TT) converted for road with 9spd D.A. 3lbs heavier then Jona's but it still a beast. The beginning of it all really !

That aero setup is lighter than what Almeida used on the moutain top finishes at the giro this year. Wow.

I’ve had a chain come off on my one-by GRX820 at speed - after adjusting never came off. Also had a Shimano rear cassette on the same one -by just inexplicably fail- brand new cassette.

One of my Titanium bikes is a smidge heavier than this bike at 7.5 kg. A SRAMano setup- werks great

I read somewhere that the bike frames are made intentionally as small (short) as possible and that is why the stem is long. I ride a custom Serotta with a longer top tube and needed a long stem due to a longer torso. The 1x makes sense especially with a 52 vs 53 and a larger cassette.

It's a Cervelo, fine piece of Canadian engineering!

Covering the stem bolts can be aesthetically pleasing! Looks cool as a whole ✌🏾❤️

Out of curiosity would love to know frame sizes compared to riders height and how close to normal frames/height they are.?

the saddle position, the bar/saddle height difference and the rise on the stem are pretty unusual for a roadie. Thats the set up I prefer on my road bike (not the 140mm stem though).

@GCN can you do a comparison between a old carbon bike vs a new carbon fiber bike? Like a 2004 Specalized Roubaix Comp vs 2023 S-Works Roubaix

It’s probably cause he doesn’t trust the sram front derailleur hahaha
