Sir, in inguinal hernia open Lichtenstein surgery 1) low recurrence rate ( <1% ) 2) it's possible under local anaesthesia 3) less Intraoperative & post operative complications 4) no risk of bowel injury, adhesion & trocar site hernia 5) no risk of Pneumoperitonium (CO2) related complications 6) mesh removal is comparatively easier 7) no need of tacker 8) lower chances of vascular & visceral injury.so, why laproscopic (TEP/TAPP) ?
