Glen visits a customer’s organic almond orchard outside Sacramento, California to demonstrate the transformative power of GSR Calcium. Watch how our clean, available calcium breaks up even the hardest soil clods by reducing the surface tension of magnesium. Whether you’re dealing with high salt, sodium, or magnesium levels, GSR Calcium is the first step to healing and revitalizing your soil.

You've helped me understand so much about healthy soil. Thank you

You will know your soil is alive when you see a lot of worms in your raised beds.
Weeds are growing out of place because that soil doesn't have calcium, carbon, phosphorus, etc!

Adding calcium per se to high magnesium content soils is not necessarily the best solution to solving tight, non friable soils issues. It is, unfortunately, not always that simple (although very often is) The form of calcium applied can be a consideration. For example applying calcium sulphate (gypsum) is likely to be a far more effective in achieving good outcomes than using calcium carbonate (lime) which might have limited results, essentially because the sulphate ions in gypsum will strip some of the excess magnesium from the soil (away in solution to groundwater) allowing calcium to take its place within the soils mineral balance. The point I'm really trying to make here is that blanket statements such as calcium 'is the first step' can be misleading statement at times. Importantly, the balance and presence of different elements in a soil needs to be ultimately considered especially when looking at large acreages - this invariably means soil testing and specifically in these circumstances, testing of the major cations (calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium) and looking at the results in terms of 'base saturation analysis'. This is unfortunate as it does require a level of understanding beyond the experience of many but it can be learnt by anyone interested. Not to do so could be compared to trying to determine the horsepower of a cars engine by measuring the size of its exhaust pipe. You might find yourself in the right ball park but then again you might get a surprise result

NEVER APPLY COMPOST ONLY
Implement aeration, fertilise with Livestock till top layer only

Does that mean using bonemeal? What are natural sources to add?

Why don’t you talk about Tage incorrect tillage, especially concerning moisture content. I see a lot of farmers plowing and telling their soil way too wet.

Should you go the route of eggshells in white vinegar or do you feel that powdered egg shells by themselves will time release effectively

Within the zones for growing almonds, does the location of the region, avg humidity, etc effect the health and output? I want to grow some almond trees, as I love them.
