I would hope it has a better resale value than a typical BMW, since that is who makes their turbo-charged engine, which may or may not be reliable compared to the Pentastar.

You told me everything I need to know telling me this is NOT worth the money! If the differential case is that weak, its clear it was designed by clueless engineers! The very last thing a rock should go through is the differential! Your problem is you are shopping for an off road rig based on looks and that is a dangerous bad habit to have!
