Project 2025: A hard-right policy blueprint for Trump's return to power? | DW News

Former president and Republican candidate Donald Trump has been trying to distance himself from Project 2025, a set of policy plans that Democrats say could serve as a blueprint for a second Trump term.

The ultra-conservative Heritage Foundation think-tank drafted the detailed set of policies in the hopes that he would adopt them.

The plans have become a subject of intense discussion ahead of Tuesday's presidential election.

Trump has tried to distance himself from the project, but his Democratic opponent Kamala Harris has been determined to tie him to its more unpopular provisons.

The nearly 1,000-page document includes plans for mass deportations as well as gutting multiple government departments, and drastically expanding presidential power.

The project was largely drafted by past aides of Trump, and he has repeatedly sought to deny being connected with it. At the same time he has commented that it contains both good and bad ideas.

I plan to retire at 62 in another country outside the US that is free, safe and very cheap with a high quality of life. I could fully just rely on only my SS if I wanted to when that times arrives but l'll also have at least one pension, a 403 (b) and a very prolific Investment account with my Stephanie Janis Stiefel my FA. Retiring comfortably in the US these days is almost impossible.

Guys let’s look on the bright side. Now that trump is president, he can’t run a third time. After this, we won’t have to worry about him anymore.

Edit: ppl in my replies keep saying “he can run a third time, he just can’t be elected a third time” guys, u knew what I ment 😭

The Heritage Foundation began to issue these Mandates when Reagan was first elected. Check what he said about these Mandates. Check what percentages of these Mandates get enacted. 75% plus by EVERY Republican Administration.

(Not so) Fun Fact: Statistic shows that most, if not all states that leans to Trump's favor are pretty low when it comes to education.

Some of project 2025 is smart. But extremely little of it. I do think parents should have control of what they’re Kid learns, wether than random adults who no kid or parents met or trust.

I’ve seen a lot of ppl say stuff like “I’m leaving the country if trump wins!” And i don’t think that’s the attitude we should have. We will get through this as a country. We are stronger than one bad president. These next 4 years will suck, but we’re in this together. I hate trump. I am a proud American. I love my country, and I believe we can get through this.
