A couple of things I'd like to know:
1. What is your favourite watercolour palette?
2. Do you know how to clean stained plastic palettes?
3. Have you seen a large round ceramic palette with sloping wells anywhere that I could buy?
Thanks!

Mr Clean Magic Eraser works well to clean a plastic palette. Thank you for your posts, Louise!

I use a regular round porcelain assay, I lean it a little towards for example and put a eraser so that I get a slight slop

Great suggestions, I cannot find ceramic palette where I live, so I just use higher edge round china dishes putting my Color on the edge, but there is no separation, that’s the disadvantages.

Oh thank you for this. You answered another question about how you set up your pallet. I have the same ceramic pallet and now know how to use it best.

Very useful tips, thank you! If you know any potters, or a pottery studio nearby, you might ask if someone could make you the porcelain round palette with sloping wells; I am a potter and I can imagine how to do it...

Hi Louise 👋. I wanted to say that I am truly getting so much out of your videos. I signed up on your patreon account and painted the gardenia the other day. I did a really good job too. Your instructions and teaching style is perfect for me. Thank you!

I use a square ceramic dinner plate with a raised edge! It sounds funny next to all these fancy oyster plates and egg plates. Mine is flat, but the raised perimeter is where I put the paint from the tube, and drag the water to the center.

I’ve found a rectangle sloping well pallets that can take 24 to 33 panes the 24 has two we mix and trays or you can go for the bigger one and then the lid becomes your mixing tray. It’s by GoldQI painting materials. Both the mixing tray in the lid and the paint wells all come out of the container. I found one in a shop in Christchurch NZ and 2 off Wish.

Hi Louise, I'm not sure if my comment is too late. I've just recently got into watercolor painting again after my school days. Im from Bangkok, Thailand. I use Holbein Palette Cleaner. It works like majic. Fortunately, I can get it from online store based in Bangkok. But I'm not sure about your situation in Australia.

Thanks for this video, Louise. I too love ceramic palettes because it annoys me that the mixed paint 'puddles' on the plastic ones.
My palette doesn't have sloping wells because I am using pans instead of tubes. I have one ceramic plate from IKEA and one with several wells from Jackson's.

I have a 12 well ceramic flower palette with high sides. I usually use pans but with the tube paint I place the paint near the top of the well. It's not a slope but keeps the paint out of the watery bottom.

My favorite palette is like your metal palette. It's a perfect size for me and it has a nice mixing area. I do have a couple extra palattes that are small if I need some extra mixing area or colors.
