It hurt me watching her make a hole in one of her drawings.

When she was rubbing her wet brush on the paper and constantly making it worse I felt so uncomfortable and angry 😂

Mmmm that hot press finish is so nice. Im starting to think we are quite opposite on a lot of creative stances, heh.

The overworking of the paper, though... that's just grotesque.

Watercolour paper is like a person. It comes off as strong and are better than some other papers but it's not invincible. It falls apart too.

Out of all of the videos about, "Tips about watercolor!" Yours is the most simple, but the most effective. You genuinely make sense compared to other videos and you give cut-and-dry tips that anyone could use! I genuinely didn't know the difference between cold-press and hot-press (other than texture) until after this video and I've been using watercolor for the past 3 years. Thank you!

I just recently started drawing digitally, and taking it seriously. I've been having a lot of fun with it.
However, seeing your videos has been motivating me to give watercolor a go.
I love your work! Thank you for sharing <3

Although I've dabbled for over 40 years, my favorite watercolor project was one I did many years ago: a 12x12 hand-bound book I made for some friends where I depicted them and their adopted toddler son in a dozen different cartoon-y scenes (bath time, camping, pool party, spaghetti dinner, et cetera) as a gift for them when the adoption was finalized. Kind of like "Oh the places you'll go together". It was well-received, and they first kept it on display in their house before eventually unbinding it and framing the individual pages to hang in their family room. I was very proud of that piece. It cemented my reputation among my circle of friends as "the artistic one".

The son is about to graduate high school, and he sent me a note asking if I would mind him 'reproducing my art, ' because he wants to blow up one of the images into a larger version and frame it for his parents. I was touched, not to mention impressed that he understands artist's rights! But I did ask him to please send me a recent picture of his family so I can make a new watercolor for them as well. That's how I came to be looking at your videos. I want the new one to be the best quality, and your tips will help. Thanks!
