pasta is 8 minues but turn the hob off and leave in the pan for extra 2 minutes and the residual heat in the pan will make it al dente👍

It seems like the BBC has a general problem with cooking starchy food. First rice and now pasta. XD

It is wrong. First the water to boil after put the pasta in the water wit the fire turn on, so wait the minute that was write on the pasta's package. So turn off gas and throw water way.
