I'm considering getting this in conjunction with the UMC1820. My plan is to have the 8 + 8 inputs of both units simultaneously recording into my DAW via USB while monitoring the inputs directly through the line-outs on the UMC1820 as well as via the 8 outputs on the ADA8200 to get a total of 16 discrete analog outputs for a monitor mix.
Would that be possible? From this video, I'm getting the impression that the analog outputs on the ADA8200 are hardwired to only output whatever is coming in through the ADAT input ..?

I have the Behringer 1820 interface and the Behringer ADA 8200 connected by optical light pipes( I got the 8200 so I can leave the drums mics set up). But... I cant get any monitor output from the 8200 in Reaper. I would be very grateful for any suggestions/solutions.

When connected to UMC1280, how do I monitor all channels from the UMC1280 output?

Currently, it just monitors the 8 inputs from the UMC1280.

I have the Ada set as slave with both in and out connected.

How would you mic a drum kit if phantom power affects all mic inputs? The over head mics are condenser mics and the drum mics are not.

Hello, I have a PreSonus Studio 192 Mobile and 2 ADA8200. It took me forever to figure how to configure the 3 units and Reaper 5, I still have trouble figuring how to get audio from the analog outputs of the 2 ADA8200.
ADA8200 first unit set as Master 48K
ADA8200 second unit Slave
PreSonus Studio 192 Mobile Interface Slave ( set as ADAT sync 48K receives clock from ADA8200 unit 1 Master).
Reaper 5 records all inputs from all 3 units.
Had a bad problem of clicks and pops and hiss....now gone, changed the toslink cables.
But a still can't figure how to get audio out of the ADA8200 to my analog mixing board.
Just want to hook up my PreSonus Studio 192 Mobile (4 outputs) and my 2 units of ADA8200 (16 outputs) total of 20 analog outputs to my analog Mixer for monitoring, FX, maybe an analog SUM mix, but can't get analog out, don't konw how.
Do I do something inside the software (Reaper5) ? Do I change cable configuration? Any help please. Thanks.

Does the xlr output that carries the mic signal has to be fed into xlr input of the audio interface ?
I mean can i use a 'XLR to quarter inch' cable and connect the output from this unit to the quarter inch line inputs of my audio interface ?

Hey. If I would connect the ADA8200 through ADAT on a X32 Rack and both use an in and out toslink cable, would I be able to root the mic-inputs as CHANNELS 17-24 and the XLR outputs as BUSSES 9-16? Regards

Is there any method of using this unit with an S16 stage box to provide additional inputs to the system?
I don't have enough space left in the rack for additional stage boxes - only one unit left.
I could get the S32 stage box but don't really want to do that just yet... any other options? maybe a cheap 8ch AES50 unit?

what if i have 2 mic input that required phantom power but the other six mic input doesnt? if i turn the phantom power on will it damage the mic?
