Why Does Lesotho Exist? | Why isn't Lesotho a Part of South Africa? | Lesotho is a tiny landlocked country well within the borders of South Africa. What makes it even weirder is that it's surrounded by South Africa on all 4 sides! So why does it exist, and why isn't a part of South Africa?

Nice video, Trebbie! However, there were two Boer Wars. The first was from December 16, 1880 to March 23, 1881. This is the one that the British lost and led to South African independence. The Second Boer War went from October 11, 1899 to May 31, 1902. This war was a gorilla war fought by the Boers in the two South African republics against the British and got pretty gruesome at times as wars have a habit of doing. They suffered some early defeats due to Boer marksmanship but the British controlled the rail systems making their armies more mobile.

“Boers” and “Moshoeshoe” are always terribly pronounced by these YouTube channels. Please research how to pronounce words before you say them in your videos. But good on you for pronouncing “Lesotho” correctly, unlike most people.

Also btw the Orange White and Blue flag wasn’t adopted by South Africa until 1928, but this video makes it seem like they had that flag since 1910.

Lesotho helped build South Africa, Shosholoza train used to Shosholoza to Mountains of Lesotho, I wish one day Lesotho and Swaziland become one with South Africa, thy basically South African province's.
