I have watched football for 40 years, and I never saw a quarterback who was more in tune with his receivers than Kurt Warner in 1999. It was like almost every single pass was at full speed and in stride with his receiver’s. Absolutely amazing season if you loved offense.

This is when people realized that the Rams were for real. They hadn't won against the 49ers since 1990 and had lost 17 straight games. The Rams finally had the pieces in place to overcome this hump and they did.

Warner might be the most underrated QB ever to play. Too bad that thumb injury [& Martz 20 step drops] affected his career in later years. But, in truth, Warner delivered in EVERY superbowl to a ridiculous degree. His touch and anticipation were unreal.

Those were the Halcyon years for Rams fans.. I just remember thinking every week that this team just couldn't lose. Warner, Faulk, Bruce, Holt - Just couldn't wait for Sunday to see Warner throw dimes.. What an amazing season..
