SubhanAllah I’ve had this issue happen to me once in my life. I honestly thought I was going to die. And when someone hasn’t gone through it they think panic attacks are a joke or undermine how severe they can be.

In addition to the ruqyah that the shaykh suggested, take a moment to recognise what could be causing these attacks. Acknowledge the way you are feeling and try to take actions preemptively to avoid an attack. For me, i slow down with the amount of work I’m taking on or take a day off work to relax and take care of myself.

Also there is a technique someone taught me by using your finger and drawing a window on your arm or somewhere discreetly. This will take your mind off the oncoming anxiety attack. May Allah swt help you sis.

May ALLAH give everyone with anxiety ease and shifa. I have it. No one around me understands. After sometime it becomes normal for they so they won't care anymore. So now even if something happens i don't tell it. I plan to complain everything to Allah. 1. Make dua to ALLAH alot and ruqya .2. Read morning and evening adhkaar. 3. Believe in your heart that this is a test from Allah and carry on with your life. 4. Buy a colouring book and colour pens to distract you when you feel anxious. 5. find a 24/7 open grocery store to walk around at night if no one is with you. in case you cant stay alone at night and scared. 6. If you have thought of self harm just immediately start praying. Hope someone will read it and benefit from it. 😊

Asalamu’alaykum can you please attach the resources to help with panic attacks and anxiety here please. My son struggles with these difficulties daily along with many other autistic children. I think it would be useful to me and other parents too

I am unable to talk to people even those who are good to me, whom i am friends with, and others in general too... i am always conversing in my head, about everything...even when doing daily work, like cleaning, bathing, in my mind conversation is happening...i am over analysing situations, unable to concentrate on little things, and only having continuous thoughts about not being able to do cooking, living a normal married life etc in future...and thoughts like not wanting to do my islamic studies, it feels heavy to do islamic studies as well as my normal daily easy task and i feel frustrated all the time...and sometimes it is so so heavy it seems that i wont be able to live in this world now...
I don't know it i should see a doctor.... i pray my salah and doing ruqya sometimes with difficulty afcourse as everything seems heavy to me now...there have been something which has caused this but i dont understand why and how could that thing which happened with me affect me to this extent...that it has become difficult to live like a normal person

Please make dua for me.

Protect Yourself From Anxiety, Laziness, Debt etc

Allāhumma innī aʿūdhu bika min-l-hammi wa-l-ḥazan, wa aʿūdhu bika min-l-ʿajzi wa-l-kasal, wa aʿūdhu bika min-l-jubni wa-l-bukhl, wa aʿūdhu bika min ghalabati-d-dayni wa qahri-r-rijāl.

O Allah, I seek Your protection from anxiety and grief. I seek Your protection from inability and laziness. I seek Your protection from cowardice and miserliness, and I seek Your protection from being overcome by debt and being overpowered by men.

Abū Saʿīd al-Khudrī (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) narrated that one day, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the masjid. He saw a man from the Anṣār called Abū Umāmah (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu). He ﷺ asked, “What is the matter? Why are you sitting in the mosque when it is not the time for prayer?” He replied, “Never-ending worries and debts, O Messenger of Allah.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then asked, “Shall I not teach you words by which, when you say them, Allah will remove your worries, and settle your debts?” He replied, “Yes of course, O Messenger of Allah.” He ﷺ said, “Say in the morning and evening [the above].” Abū Umāmah (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) said, “Then I did that, and Allah removed my worries and settled my debts.” (Abū Dāwūd 1555)
