How To Change Simplisafe Entry Sensor Battery

In this video we show you how to replace a Simplisafe entry sensor battery. To change the batteries on the Simplisafe window and door sensor you need need to remove the sensor from it's wall mount by sliding it off from wall mount and then removing the battery from the back of the Simplisafe Entry Sensor Battery. You then replace the battery with a new DL 2032 battery and slide the Simplisafe Entry Sensor back on to the wall mount.

Thanks for posting this. We've had the system for a while now, and just had our first sensor go out on us. I had vaguely remembered something about not being able to replace a battery (it turns out, that applies to the handheld fob), and was sweating about how to remove the sensor, clean the area, replace it with the extra sensor that hadn't found a home, etc. Fortunately, Google brought me here. What I thought was going to be a pain, turned out to be a five-minute job. I even had the right kind of batteries in the house, because they're also the batteries for the old-school Apple TV remote! Great video, but it reminds me of the technical challenge on Bake Off. You give minimum instructions which have to be filled out with your knowledge of how things work. I had to pry open the back with a knife. Then, everything was fine.
