LA Councilman Proposes Makeover For Hollywood Boulevard

Los Angeles City Councilman Mitch O'Farrell Thursday debuted an initial plan of improvements for the area including wider walkways and more outdoor dining opportunities.

Well that sounds good. But what about the 65, 000 homeless. That should be a priority right now I would think.

Bad idea. It’s hard enough to find parking as it is?! To many people in LA with multiple cars. This will make it tougher on Police and Fire departments just as predicted.

This is the best idea! It looks beautiful aswell and I think the plan would go well making it more space for people to walk, having a bike lane and having less traffic. THAT’S IF they remove or offer jobs for the homeless from the street on Hollywood Blvd!! I know the law of it being “the street is for everyone” but the homeless being in the way of sleeping on the side walk on Hollywood blvd, is blocking and making it hard to pass by….So much for it being “the streets are for everyone” when we can’t even walk by without them going crazy, blocking the way, and feeling unsafe!!

Also, the street vendors. They must limit the street vendors if they really want this to work. In current times, there’s way to many street vendors on Hollywood Blvd and its causing them to take up space from people walking, especially when theres a line for their stand. And also, SEPERATE THEM!! They’re way to close to each other making it a HUGE crowd and lots of blocking sights on the side walk.

Sadly with all the criminals and homeless walking around, you wouldn't want to be dining on the street. You rest your bag on the chair and it will get snatched! In another world city, yes, you could do this and it would work. Los Angeles? Oh hell no.

NO!! there are too many cross town trips on hollywood blvd.. it would make sunset even worse.. i am a Registered VOTER.. NO... if you think yes.. drive down santa monica blvd in west hollywood and then continue thru hollywood .. see the difference.. the people pushing this are the contractors.. don't let them ruin the last 6 lane wide street..

Our, parking tickets, and tax dollars better not be used for this crap! Fix, our street first! And when our streets are pot holes free. Left over funds can then be used for this.
Pedestrian, and cyclists pay nothing to used the sidewalks, and crosswalks. Charge them if they want this.

Keep Hollywood Boulevard the way it is !!!! This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard what a shame that would be!
