The pro wrestling I grew up watching live and on tv from 1978 - mid 90s died decades ago for me. I could care less if the Saudis bought it. Thank goodness for YouTube and our memories

The sale ( to anyone at that price ) is good for stock holders ( it drives stock prices up ) but for fans we do not want it bought as an "investment opportunity" we want it bought by some one who understands wrestling and the psychology behind it ( a uniquely "western" twist on it ) -- My prediction is simple if the Saudis do buy it, it will be done with in a year whether Vince stays or not

How many wrestlers do you think will quit if WWE is sold to the Saudis

I think they need a tv deal for saudi to even be viable. Because I doubt vince wants wwe to die in 5 years which is what would happen if they don't have tv deals in north america and europe. I do fully believe vince tried to sell to saudi arabia but probably when people found out he been making a deal with the saudis they probably yelled at him that they may not be able to have tv deals if saudis own them.

Comcast is the right buyer for WWE. NBC Universal has had a good history with WWE for over 35 years from Saturday Night Main Event to being featured on SNL to being on USA for decades to being streamed on Peacock. Fox's contract for Smackdown runs out in less than two years. It can be transferred over a NBC channel when the Fox contract is completed. Plus Comcast has the funds to make a strong deal to purchase WWE, but not have the perception/optic issues that comes with selling out to the Saudis. Comcast/NBC is the best fit...

That whole discussion about Dubai is the most American thing i have seen in a long time. It is strange how two, otherwise knowledgeable people can have such an exchange about some basic geography.

Liv golf is brand new. WWE has been on our television for yrs like the PGA golf tournament. WWE has been established for yrs. I dont think television will be a problem at all. Especially with Vince being friends with People at NBC for over 30 yrs now.

why would any advertisers or sponsors align themselves with WWE when it would require taking on the negative baggage of Vince and Saudi Arabia?

Im done with them. Especially selling to the Saudi’s? They know how dirty they are. Then again, I haven’t paid attention to the WWE in over 10 years.l but I always had some hope they’’d make it interesting again.

Sell it to Disney. Then they can have Donald Duck and Goofy slug it out in a cage match at WrestleMania 40.

I’d like to see Netflix step in. It would expand their media footprint and give a content library a huge boost. It would at least allow float for Netflix programming. I would have a serious problem with Saudi Arabia buying WWE. I’d have a hard time watching it all things considered.

I think selling WWE as just an investment is not a got long term benefit for the company or the fans, when people forget the fans and the talent are what makes a company, the chances of failure go up expediently, sometimes money doesn't equate to sound business, just

WWE is a publicly traded company, so anyone can buy WWE if they are willing to buy enough shares.

I don't think Vince cares about the future of WWE. This is a revenge move on his part. He saw how much better the company was running without him and now instead of being proud and enjoying his life, he wants to destroy his own company. it must make him furious to see that he was the reason things were in the decline. He wants to get the most amount of money he can and then watch the whole thing burn down.

I love the potential of gimmick matches. An infidel on a pole match or a loser gets beheaded match would be interesting.
