It's not chicken, it's a fertilized duck egg called Balut. It's safe to eat and a delicacy not just in the Philippines but in a lot of other Asian countries. It's eaten with salt and spicy vinegar, it just taste like normal egg but with a crunch haha

You can also choose how many days old, 16-21 days, the more days the more developed the embryo is. I only ever eat 16-17 cuz the bones haven't developed yet, and there's still a lot of broth like liquid inside, sounds disgusting to those who don't know but it's good I swear haha
