The assembly of even the simplest virus is an intricate process in which multiple reactions must be completed in the correct sequence and coordinated in such a way that the overall pathway is irreversible. In this lecture we discuss the mechanisms for assembly of new virus particles, including sequential or concerted assembly line processes, packaging of nucleic acids, acquisition of an envelope, and release from the infected cell.

The course has been excellent, but this and the retrovirus lecture are mindblowing. Thank you so much for making these available.

Great lectures, thanks. However, I noticed that the viral translation or viral protein synthesis lecture had been missed in last couples of years. I do hope you could add this lecture to this year.
