i did not understan how the dsDNA both strands made into mRNA and both have opposite polarity? why both strands is not it only - strand DNA makes mRNA and for DNA synthesis they do use DNA.

Has there been any research on creating a protein similar to Pkr that's activated by dsRNA to inhibit viral DNA? Could modifying Pkr potentially offer long-term immunity against viruses?
