As others have pointed out... this would be great looking to upfront buy a testing kit that does everything even if you must still do individual tests. But for those that have some of the tests kits, less incentivized. I still might consider one, though. I can always sell or gift the individual testers just to keep equipment accumulation to a minimum.

The one thing I wish they would consider/have done (aside from the magic single sample for all tests): integrations with GHL, Neptune, and CoralVue to log/display data. Perhaps as a feature add or submodel (i.e. similar to Apex and Apex EL, or other lines of "pro" versions of something and "less pro" versions).

So, still have to do all the tests one by one. I suppose a single unit is nice. But totally pointless for anyone who already has all of these test kits for all the things.

I wish it was like the API AquaSpin. One test for all parameters at once.

Dang it I just got a few new Hanna checkers. Wish I would have waited. But I guess Christmas is coming and I have been a good boy….

How is it more expensive than buying every single one separately? Even with the cheap data entry log book that equates to a 1990 OS, there should be a volume discount.

Two primary concerns:
1) Using the same cuvette for all the different reagents and tests, means cleaning is more important, and how are results affected if cross contamination occurs?
2) already stated here in different terms, but with separate testers I'm accustomed to running 3 tests at a time (I start a different test while the timer runs on the first, then finnish with Alk as it's so fast). Then I rinse and clean all 3 cuvettes at once, so less trips to the sink. Having to wait for each one to finish and run the tests serially is a big time sink.

Makes sense if you're new to Hanna if you don't mind the waiting!

All of the instructions on the screen for each test, for those of you with a bad memory, all tests and pipettes in one kit, waterproof, easy readout screen, small form factor. Definitely a buy over purchasing the individuals. Seems like it tests quicker as well from other videos.

I'll buy this someday to alleviate space from the individual checkers. Now to really blow our minds more. We just need a magnesium checker.

Will BRS do an investigation video to show the accuracy of the product compared to if you were to buy them separately?

1. Does it have a backlight? Doesn't seem so.
2. Does it beep when done testing? Doesn't seem so
3. Couldn't they add a colluded LCD and Wi-Fi features so your logs are also in the Cloud?
4. Did Hanna hit it out if the park? Doesn't seem so.

Major selling point for me is shock and water resistant... having dropped a phosphate tester and had the cuvette shatter and fry it... and the step by step is nice to...

IF I were to even consider buying this ( which I doubt) it will be at least 6 months down the road after all the BRS sycophants who buy everything they recommend have tested it. I like how BRS is responding to said sycophants and ignoring the doubters who have questions.

Great Idea! But I’ve already got all the checkers and I use a spreadsheet for logging

Did you guys forget to tell everyone the part where it’s not a finished product, and that it’s also supposed to have Ammonia and Magnesium tests as well, but Hanna is rushing it out to market in an unfinished, incomplete state because you wanted exclusive rights to debut it and got those rights by agreeing to purchase a certain number of units and make a YouTube video extolling the virtues of an incomplete product, and people will have to send their unit back to Hanna (on the customer’s own dime for shipping) next year to add the two additional tests once they figure it out?

Or did the editor accidentally clip that part out in Premiere?

The idea of this is cool! 😎 however I’m not a fan of spending more money and still running each test separately. As I understand why they have to be as they each need different reagents to read the water, I personally would rather have the individual testers that way if one brakes or malfunctions it’s only $50+ tax for a replacement not several hundred. Especially after owning one of the single testers and it’s already malfunctioning after only a year… don’t get me wrong I’m having a hard time picking something different than Hanna for my main tests (ALK, & Po4) 🤷‍♂️ but that fact that I’m looking for something different means a lot to me when it’s always been hands down Hanna for me.

SO, WHEN I DROP MY NEW $400 HANNA MARINE MASTER MULTI-PARAMETER PHOTOMETER HI97105 INTO MY TANK, SHOULD I USE TAP WATER OR RO WATER TO RINSE IT OFF?

I think I'd wait and put that 400 bucks towards the new automated testing systems like mastertonic or ion director.

Going to have to politely disagree that this thing gives what we've asked all along. While logging data is nice, the fact we have to basically do every test separately is a major downer, I 100% get the realism and you can't do a single test that measures everything but this really is a fancy box that puts all checkers in one, even ones that I really don't want/need. Akalinity, Nitrate, and Phosphate are really the only ones I care about, Calcium would be on there too if not for fact the prior Hanna checker had some issues. If I cared about pH I'd have a probe in the tank attached to a monitor/controller, I barely care about nitrite when I cycle a tank too.

0:54 "Also about $50 more than if I were to buy each test separately, and that in itself is worth it for me" I'm sorry? You paying more for something makes it worth it? Also unless I'm missing something, according to the product page it seems to have 6 test kits in it, which at $50 each would make this $100 more than if you bought each separately, so more worth it?

Good thing i have been holding out on buying a test kit. Thanks 👍

I would rather have individual test kits. If one fails you buy a new one. I prefer titration based non-electronic test kits anyhow.
