for the second tip, you can just press guard before pressing dodge. that way you will have a drawn weapon roll and you can do your claw attack directly from a sprint roll and the backstep too ofc.

I actually feel kinda proud of myself for having learnt to do all of these on my own. Great guide for mid/advanced sns players that want to learn some cool tech, would be easier to follow if your character didn't have so much... personality...

you can also guard then roll then LT/L2 to use your one soften cultch move

My first game in the series, the result of arm-twisting, was an import of MH2 Dos, so I'll point out that drawing with guard was a thing back in 2nd generation as well, I never played original to know if it applies there too. It's been a great technique since forever. I'm going over videos to retrain my mind for Iceborne all this time later. (Did it on ps4 but it's fresh for my PC character, got it on sale to join the new wave)

i'm late to the party as always. i've found it's much easier when trying to go from sheathed>roll>backstep. instead of guarding after the roll, guard right before the roll then backstep after rolling. i've found it's far more forgiving and more consistent at least for me

Sns is HEAVILY underrated. People only tend to use it because a lot of youtubers main it.

I’m pretty sure you can press guard before rolling which will unsheathe your weapon but with no animation and you can even go immiediatly into backstep

During the reversal frame cant you just push the stick in the direction you want to attack and aim a back hop into perfect rush or charged slash that way?

why do most of mh content makers have drag queen characters its just weird. creepy at some point when i am in the gathering hub surrounded by half naked females knowing their not females, all that while the game has some of the sickest armor sets in gaming i jave ever seen.
