No OIS in lens, no leaf shutter for flash photography, f/4 instead of f/2.8, no more portrait bokeh, no 960p in s&q mode, no 4k 60p, and no 10 bit code. For 150 more, no thanks.

It's definitely NOT an upgrade at all. They also removed the standard stabilization, which is great for pictures. If you only do vlogs, it makes sense, but for a "hybrid" shooter, ZV-1 M1 is a better option.

Thanks for the video : Been looking to an alternative (upgrade) to my iPhone 📱 and have been searching for about a week.

Finally narrowed it down to the SV-1 and decided to go with the original after your comparison.

In a few more years I’ll get a more serious camera setup.

There's a couple features I like but overall I feel like we lost more than we gained. On top of that they are charging more money.

Sure you get the 18mm but they took away the OIS. Once you stabilize the image with digital crop, you lose that extra width. Worse you lose the telephoto and the aperture. I feel like it's an overall downgrade.

The ZV-1 was a near cinematic camera. Almost perfect for creators with a couple flaws. The biggest was the tripod mount. Everything else was minor and easy to work around.

Give me a firmware update to the ZV-1 with the new menus and I'm pretty sure they can fix the touch screen. It is the same screen. They can even change the mode button. All of this is software at worst there isn't enough internal memory for it without losing the super slowmode features.

I was excited for the M2 now I'm disappointed. As I look at the ZV line everything since the ZV-1 has disappointed me.

The F was a fail in my book at least it's cheaper than the original.

The ZV-E 10 should have just been the ZV-1 with interchangeable lenses but they removed features.

ZV-E 1 not bad but people looking for that type of camera wold be better off looking at the FX-30 for a little more money.

Now with the ZV-1 M2, I'm telling people save the money and get the original instead.

Damn - just bought the ZV-1. I like the ability to change settings on the touch screen and the better zoom range. I love how the image stabilisation at 2:50 stabilises your hair too! It's an expensive upgrade - I wish they'd added weather proofing too for that extra cost

People complaining about 4k and I’m still over here shooting in 1080p lol. I mean I could move to 4k, but I don’t see a point. I did start exporting in 4k though. I love the wider view on this! Especially with Davinci Resolve you can just upscale to 4K, which is what I do.

Thanks for the good review. Slo-mo is still only available in HD, right? No 60 fps. at 4K. Audio sounded a little iffy and thin. B&H linked page has almost no Specs. My Panasonic 4K camcorder from 2016 had virtually the same features - at the same price. That was 7 years ago! SONY is cranking out today's version of Kodak Instamatics and Polaroid Swingers, but at a $900 price?? I'll wait until the next gen.
