LG TV - How to Fix HDMI No Signal Error

If your LG TV is showing you the No signal error because your HDMI port is not working anymore, I will show you how to solve this problem. This also works for black screen.

Thanks! I’m at a hotel and the HDMI wasn’t getting a signal. I did your first suggestion…unplug, hold down the on button for 30 seconds and it did the trick!

Wow. I cannot believe that unplugging and pressing the power button method worked for me! I just got an LG QNED TV and i was shocked to see no more HDMI picture from my connected laptop! I really thought about calling customer service for a replacement. Phewww!! Thanks a lot for these tips!

Thanks so much for this video! I turned on my PS5 but had no picture, only the HDR came up in the corner of the screen, so I took all HDMI cables out, turned off TV at the plug and pressed power button on my LG TV for a long 30 seconds. Just plugged everything back in and all works great again! Thanks 🙏

Pushing on the HDMI port "because it can become detached from the motherboard" may actually damage your TV. DO NOT DO THIS. If you suspect that this is the case, get the TV serviced.

Thank you so much for this video. None of these tips worked for me but it was very helpful to rule out the TV as the problem. I finally realized that my Mac mini was not responding. I manually pressed the power button on the back of it and finally got rid of the No Signal error.

Lifesaver!!!! OMG….it just wouldn’t work like it was set up to do. Had a Gen 2 Fire Cube connected to LG TV a year old. Was fine when went to bed. Then next day got the No connection message with a short message to reconnect by changing the output!!!! Did NOT a FIX….nightmare begins, right? Tried everything, reconnected the WiFi….turned off tv, unplugged, used Fire cube ( this keeps all our apps in HDMI 2 ). This video worked…..God Bless….it now works . We have Netflix, Prime Video, and don’t usually use other apps…was set up for use with voice command, and could use the Fire Cube remote to lower or raise sound as connected to a sound Bar. I got a migraine…last night…

The weirdest thing about this is that the ‘switch the HDMI cable’ trick solved this issue for me when my PS5 gave me a no signal error. Even when the exact same HDMI cable plugged into the same TV and a different input worked fine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

OMG I think it worked!! I was having trouble with new Spectrum cable TV with my LG, just choppy signal. After trying everything came across your video and realized maybe it was the HDMI cable? Holy crap. You are amazing! ❤

I bought my 60" LG 3D TV at a thrift store with nfg HDMI inputs (didn't know that). Read online about baking the main (input) board. I've now done that 5 times, the last time lasted nearly 5 years before doing it again this morning. 385°F for 8 minutes, then leave the board in the shut-down oven so that it will cool slowly (half an hour +/-). Really works, I promise.
