This is now approaching one million views and rightfully so, but it’s probably due to the fact that a much smaller number of listeners are, like myself, addicted to this performance and thus listen to it over and over again.

The precision, clarity, and musicality of this performance are just stunning.

This feels ridiculously ahead of its time. The little melody at 2:25 feels like it’s from a Studio Ghibli film. Love it.

It's amazing how this sounds almost romantic instead of baroque. Incredible interpretation.

He is so much more precise than most other concert pianists. Even his trills are flawless. Like Gould on steroids. lol

I think Rameau is widely smiling, listening to his piece in this strange instrument and played by this maestro of the keyboard.

Could Rameau ever have dreamed that his work would one day be played so masterfully?

Perhaps the cleanest playing I've heard
ever

2:48 the speed of that trill is insane, sounds like it was generated by computer or pianola, surrealistic

I just keep coming back to 3:18 . Love that effortless flow and the strong rythm!

I am speechless. This is what it means to be a master and a genius.

Whatever Sokolov plays, he always sets a tempo which is digestible, never flashy, always supremely musical.

2:09 is one of the COOLEST things I have ever seen and heard on a piano! He's like a mad typewriter man striking with impeccable precision and ferocity!

The fact I love this piece on harpsichord and to hear it played on piano like this...this man is beyond description. Just mind blowing.

Another magical Rameau (and Sokolov). I'm 69, and only learned of Rameau recently. How is this possible? R should be as well known as all the others.
