Lol this is why I call it the real growing up phase. You start to realize how much our parents provided for us that we overlooked. That's awesome though, you'll value things more and you will see the concept of a household differently❤

Hope you got a duster! My first wtf moment after moving into my own place was when I realized how quickly dust builds up

Welcome to adulting. Its the worst setting up what you need but its not nearly as bad when you have everything to be comfortable. Just gotta be patient. And holiday sales and coupon codes, clearance deals. Always gotta have ways to save the money too

Nico feeling the weirdness of adulting. First apartment is a crazy one, but once you establish that baseline of random stuff you need, when you move in the future it'll be quite a bit easier (unless you jump to a big ass house immediately...and if you keep doing well I see that in your future 😜)

I actually absolutely love your videos, the production in the simplest videos is so much better than most content creators, you honestly are so talented

Don’t overwhelm yourself and complicate the move in process. It takes time to figure out what you need. Just start with the essentials. Create an itemized list and purchase accordingly. Don’t squander your money on useless things. Purchase the big items as you go.

Reminds me of when I lived with my brother. A man just doesn’t pay attention to all these little details that make your life easier 😂

Nice crib man! Keep up the great work! I’m nursing a high ankle sprain for the past two weeks and I’ve been itching to hit the running trails again

i didn’t really realize people would go through this (makes total sense to me at the same time ofc) but growing up i had to think to buy most if not all of that stuff due to my family not thinking you needed it or didn’t know you needed it or just didn’t use it. it was a real wtf moment in my brain lol

It happens to us all! In your 30's (or sooner) you'll probably enjoy stuff to keep everything organized. It only goes up from here lol.

All the things you need to buy is partly the reason why I rented a furnished flat.

However, having lived in 2 furnished flats now, I realise unfurnished is much better, and I will definitely choose that option when I move next.

Firstly, you still need to buy some of the little things Nico mentioned, but secondly, and most importantly, a lot of the furniture in furnished flats are extremely cheap, so they often end up needing to be replaced quite soon.

If your landlord actually does replace them, they often choose cheap replacements. Much better to just invest in your own furniture that you take with you when/if you eventually move.

Tj maxx, HomeGoods, and Marshall’s has TONS of nice quality stuff for cheap. Most are good name brand things from previous years

You need scissors, that one blew my mind when I had my first apartment

I don’t have to worry about any of that because I’ve been jumping to Airbnb slowly snowballing my career and saving up for properties and then when I buy my first property, I’m gonna do what other people with Airbnb are doing and just flip rooms. I’m gobbling up lots of properties 🤓
