The negative comments here are disappointing. I encourage anyone who has second thoughts or negative feelings listening to this great conversation to check out more of Sarah's work. It is far more credible than much of what dominates our feeds (and minds!). Discovering Sarah and the Nutrivore principles have been life-changing for me. Grateful for you, Dr. Sarah. Keep up the great work!!

It’s almost like she works for big food or the fda. Reminds little of Saladino, where he changes his stance. She walks in against the stance. She very liberal with its ok to have some trans fat, it’s ok to ingest chemicals at small levels. It’s may be ok, but we don’t see it till way down the line. Even saying Canola is ok, where it’s mentioned it’s expensive to fry in. But chip manufactures choose this like 90-95% of what to fry their chips in for the cheapest possible oil. Canola is trash unless you keep it native, native is “Rapeseed”. There are some Rapeseed oils in china that may be more inline of Olive oil. Canola is a chemically made industrial oil.

I did like how she recommended Crab apples and Granny Smith apples. Bitterness is a weird indicator of nutrient dense.

53:08 healthy ultra processed foods like canned soup, frozen dinners, fruit on the bottom yogurt, instant oatmeal, protein bars...I wouldn't count those as healthy foods, they all have crazy high amounts of sugar and salt along with questionable additives.

The statement that Europe allows more food colorings than the United States is incorrect. In fact, the European Union (EU) generally restricts the use of synthetic food dyes more strictly than the U.S. and enforces more rigorous labeling requirements. For example:

1. Restricted and Banned Dyes: The EU has banned or restricted several food dyes that remain approved in the United States, including Red No. 3 and Yellow No. 6. In the U.S., these and other artificial colors are still widely used in foods.
2. Labeling Requirements: Any foods in the EU containing certain artificial dyes, like Yellow No. 5 and Red No. 40, must carry a warning label indicating that the dye “may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.” The U.S. does not require similar warnings, which reflects a more permissive stance toward synthetic dyes.
3. Preference for Natural Colors: The EU encourages the use of natural colorants, resulting in a wider use of food colors derived from natural sources like plants. While the U.S. has also seen a shift toward natural colors, it is not as strictly regulated.

While it’s true that both regions have complex regulations, the EU generally has more restrictions on synthetic dyes compared to the U.S., which tends to allow a greater variety of synthetic food colors without the additional warning labels found in Europe (MyMed, EurekAlert!, EFSA).

Where does a "nutrivore" shop for their non pesticide or herbicide produce if that produce is soaked in glyphosate? We would love to hear The Paleo Moms advice for families living in the USA from the Appalachian mountains to the Rockies ~ Please read Kiss the Ground by Josh Tickell ~
Where should the citizens of the USA buy their produce without bathed in artificial chemistry ~ please follow up as we to make these changes, but how if those healthy foods are not available in most states in our country

So 10% added sugars daily? That’s a recommendation of about 50g of ADDED sugar on a 2000 cal diet? If I’m doing the math right. Wow, no way that can’t possibly be a good advice. I’m sorry.

Some really bad advice and factually inaccurate data given here. Makes it a bit difficult to swallow the rest of it…

Her argument is weak about the dose for poisons, it’s like saying let’s see how many cigarettes per day has low effect because your organs can detoxify the poison, therefore let’s smoke cigarettes but maybe one per day and we all know how it ends. Why should we encourage people to take the poison the then search for the antidote versus let’s wait a little bit on healthy nutritious food for the gut microbiome to shift and you’ll enjoy them more. Not saying extreme diets are the solution but encouraging people to eat more junk joy food doesn’t seem like a solution, especially the people who are probably already struggling with food addictions due to the impaired and hostile microbiome.

So called vegetable oils or for that matter, any highly processed oils go. They are all heated beyond their smoke point which makes them Plasticized or if one prefers Polymerized. And it gets worse.

I’m sorry but I cannot listen any further. Sees oils and pesticides are okay? This is a harmful message to be spreading. We should be focused on organic whole foods and regenerative farming.

It appears she could benefit from incorporating some strength training to build arm muscle. Nutrition is important, but combining it with strength and cardio workouts is key for overall fitness.

If I listen do I have to hear her promote seed oils and the Covid vaccine? I am weary of her now.

No, just not true, we actually don’t even NEED a gut microbiome, lots of people have to live without a large intestine, meaning no microbiome and are absolutely fine.
