The pilot was so awesome, they give a bit of house backstory, the connection he has with patient "He cured you, you didn't cured him" and even how the whole team interacts, this really show how the series was going to be and how it was going to end.

Robin Tunney is a stellar actress. STELLAR. The Mentalist didn't often give her much to do but when it did, she knocked it out of the park every single time. Love her. LOVE HER!

House destroyed her when he mentioned that she'd turn into him if she didn't follow his cure. House has many flaws yet in a bizarre way of his own wishes the best for everyone and that to me is pure strength.
