Okay, I have to ask. How is it that the sea levels are only rising in the southeast and the gulf coast? Rising 5 inches? No, that sounds more like the coast is sinking.

I live 300 feet from Naraganict Bay in RI, I have lived here for 50 years and in all this time the sea level hasn't raised one inch. So as far as I can see Climate change is a big hokes.

When will these "rises in sea level" be visible to the people who live there? That includes myself.

I’d love to know where this 5” was measured. I live where this is reported to have happened and can confirm it has not. Is risen just under 2mm per year. You call people deniers but you are flat out lying through your teeth, what do you expect?

Nothing to do with land sinking by any chance? And yes it does and has been an ongoing basis since time immemorial.

He's a liar, the polar caps and Greenland Iceland are not decreasing in fact they're increasing with ice glaciers

Jumping to conclusions isn't scientific. What If the geography foundations are sinking, giving the impression that the sea levels are rising. The Netherlands and Jakarta are two examples they are sinking, not the sea levels rising.

Though home to almost 40% of the U.S. population, coastal areas account for less than 10% of the total land in the contiguous United States. Coastal areas are also far more crowded than the U.S. as a whole; population density is over five times greater in coastal shoreline counties than the U.S. average.

Raise taxes that should solve the problem.

You can find many old pictures of landmarks in the ocean such as the Statue of Liberty or lighthouses on the coast that show the water level is not rising.

Bull Crap! Tell me how The canals in Venice are dry, but all the water is gathering in the Gulf of Mexico? Fluid dynamics does not work that way.

I am still having trouble understanding how the sea level can rise in one place but not in other places. All the oceans of the world are connected.

Yes it's true, the sea levels are rising very quickly. Recently I was on the beach in Cancun standing in dry sand, and within seconds the water was knee-deep😮

If this is true why are there still barrier islands along the Texas coast.? They have never been more than 1 or 2 feet above sea level. I have lived on the Gulf Coast for 75 years and the shoreline is still in the same place.

By fa the biggest problem with rising sea levels is that most of Florida homes use septic tank type sewerage. As the ground becomes more saturated by water septic tank sewerage systems can no longer drain into the ground and work. It is a stinky problem that no one even wants to talk about.

Kinda ironic that the most affected coastlines are in Gulf states and the southern Eastern Seaboard, areas in this country whose residents are most resistant to the concept of global warming.
