I think the Legion Go S isn’t meant to compete with the original Go, the Ally X, or MSI Claw 8. It’s meant to be a budget option or alternative to the Steam Deck. The problem is the price of $730. That price doesn’t say budget system at all. The $730 model should have had the Z1 Extreme. I can totally understand the Z2 Go options around $500 coming later this year, but the Z2 Go at $730 is weird.

I don't see the point of this, especially with all the Z1 Extreme handhelds being readily available for so much cheaper on sale.

For the price, it is not worth it at all. Those 32Gb of RAM do absolutely nothing. Emulation could be a good use for this, but it's still not worth $730

It’s a great looking handheld but I don’t think it does anything exceptional for the price! I think most people will wait for the z2 extreme handhelds

I was considering buying this GO S but then I saw a MSI Claw with a core 7 ultra, for 300€, so I pulled the trigger on that one instead. After a huge amount of Windows 11 updates and some tweaking in the BIOS, I must say that I am not regreating. This one is almost double the price, has crappier Z2 Go APU and speakers.

I want this form factor, handheld style, but with the Z2 Extreme. Yes the Legion Go 2 is around the corner, but honestly I think I would prefer this body over the Go 2 and removeable controllers.

You have a pretty good time with everything

Using your same videos Legion Go in Cyberpunk running at low 1200p at 70fps, Legion Go S running at low 1000p at 55fps.
Forza Horizon 5 Go is running at Med, 1200p, 90fps+, Go S, 1200 Med, 60fps+.
Ratchet Rift Apart is 800p, low at 70fps, same with Go S but this using framegen

I don't have a handheld console but I can imagine myself buying a Legion Go S (Steam Version), Steam Deck OLED, and Legion GO 2. The Go S for travel, a backup and for a friend to use, Steam Deck OLED at home backup and the LEGO 2 for AAA games.

At the minute 8:04 it doesn´t have the title of the game, it just says 'Title'. But, other than this, thanks for the review of the Z2 go. A lot of us we were expecting!

I can't go back After having the X with the 80whr battery. I been spoiled with the allys huge battery.

The way I look at this, the 32GB version doesn’t make much sense at its price point with the Ally X and Legion Go right there as well. In terms of the Steam version, it makes a lot more sense at its price point of $500. Really can’t see paying more than that for this

Agree with these comments, I thought with the ally x launch that 80W battery would be the norm going forward with handhelds.

Not bad.
What is the lowest tdp( in some Lego games)?
What the max( when it's drop down)?

Framegen at low frame rate is pointless for demanding games since it needs high frame rate to be good, for simpler retro games this device is too expensive, i just dont get who this is aimed for?

I don’t know who’s going to buy this to be honest. I got my rog ally z1e for 450 a couple weeks ago and on paper it’s more powerful than the go s. I would be excited to see a z2e in the future though.
