Fox 38 vs Rockshox Zeb

Couple of points to note. The Zeb doesn’t have high speed rebound. Also the Zeb is only 26g heavier because it’s 200pm and 38 is 180pm

As a bike mechanic that gets to work on both of these forks a lot, I personally like the Zeb better, easier to take apart, the Zeb uses the same oil in both legs, the fork seals and bushings in the lower fit tighter around the stations than fox, the charger 3 damper is completely quiet when property working. The fox always has a slurping noise from the damper working. The Zeb can have 150mm to 190mm of travel while the fox 38 is 160mm to 180mm. The Zeb is easier to change the air spring, and Much easier to feel supported straight out of the box. And in my opinion the Kashima coating makes zero difference in the feel of the shock. There is way more difference in changing the damper than upgrading from the regular black stanchions to the Factory ones.
