I like the old white dude sci-fi, especially Heinlein. When I found NK Jemisin, I knew nothing about her identity, but I loved The Fifth Season and the Obelisk Gate. I seriously didn’t know if the author was male or female, it was just good. Looking through my audible library, it looks like I bought “Stone Sky” but haven’t listened to it yet (I lose track of what I’m reading and listening to when I relapse). Seeing articles online that say “every women should read this sci-fi” book has me baffled. Everyone, period, should read The Broken Earth Series. And it’s fantasy... IMO (Unless that article was referring to other books by this author). If I could pay 15 per month, monthly, rather than annually, I’d start taking these classes for sure.
