Great review. I decided on the Air 3s for my first drone mainly for the more advanced obstacle avoidance and low-light performance. It's supposed to arrive Friday and I can't wait to start learning a new skill.

the colour on the 3s on the side by side looks much nicer

The 3s moves into the position you set it to right away while the 3 says on the screen that it will move to that position once the subject being tracked is in motion. So it looks to me like the 3s has "better" active track controls because it get the drone to start off where you want it before the subject is in motion.

Great video Peter. I have both drones and currently doing my comparisons with them. There are some differences but so slight. I agree you won’t notice huge strides but any movement in the right direction is a good one.

YO. Peter, first: great job and thank you. Feels like this was the first real comparison I've seen that was not trying to make Air 3 look bad. Guess DJI did not pay you :-p
Curious tho, about the contrast and saturation and better 'sharpness' of Air 3s, don't you feel like that is also a lot of POST from image processor, that we could easily achieve (similar, not identical) with Air 3 also? I kinda almost have the feeling that it is a bit over sharpen, like Air 3 is more natural.

Blind tests you cant tell but side-by-side I can always tell the difference because of the dynamic range being better on the Air 3S. If I had an Air 3 I wouldn't upgrade but I went from a Mini 3 Pro to an Air 3S and there wasnt even a reason for me to consider an Air 3 over an Air 3s. Even with the price drops, the Air 3s has a lot of features besides the camera that make it worth the extra $300. Two major thins for me are the obstacle avoidance and the ability to transfer your content to your computer without powering up the drone.

I have ordered my DJI Air 3S Fly more Combo as my very first drone ever - and I personally think that the price difference was too small relatively speaking at about SEK 2, 500 between the two models Air 3 and Air 3S, when I would have rather seen at least 4 000 - 5, 000 SEK in difference between these two in my honest opinion. But for others it might be enough of a difference, but not for me.

This will be a fun addition to my existing photography.

Will it be a big upgrade if im upgrading from a Mini 3 Pro? Thinking about buying the Air 3S with fly more and RC2. Right now I have the RC-N1 without screen. Can you recommend the RC2 with screen and the upgrade from Mini 3 Pro?
