Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus; born Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus; 15 December AD 37 – 9 June AD 68), was the fifth Roman emperor and final emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, reigning from AD 54 until his death in AD 68.

He was adopted by the Roman emperor Claudius at the age of 13 and succeeded him on the throne. Nero was popular with the members of his Praetorian Guard and lower-class commoners in Rome and its provinces, but he was deeply resented by the Roman aristocracy.

Most contemporary sources describe him as tyrannical, self-indulgent, and debauched. After being declared a public enemy by the Roman Senate, he committed suicide at age 30.

He was a shit person and terrible misogynist but a mediocre emperor. He didn’t actually set Rome on fire for one. And two, if you have a historical ruler portrayed as deeply incompetent and evil who was popular with the lower classes but very unpopular with the elite then there’s like a 95% chance that they were at the very least not nearly as bad as the popular history claims.

He was blamed for the fire, but in reality he wasn’t even in Rome for the first three days and when he had heard about it he organized relief efforts and allowed many common folk into his palace. He spoke mostly to the common folk and did not give high credit to the rich, because he saw the working people as more important and he preferred them. Those allegations are not all true and most likely Nero was a decent emperor that was blackmailed by the senators that overthrew him, as well as the Christians, who were actually responsible for the fire of Rome

For all the bad things Nero did historians have proved he didn't start the fire. Not only was it almost certainly accidental, but that was one of the few times he actually behaved like he was supposed to, ordering his men to put it out and opening his house to refugees whose houses had just burned down. He did however use Christians as scapegoats, killing many just to shift the blame from himself, which I'm pretty surprised wasn't included.

He wasn’t responsible for the fire in Rome because he wasn’t even there when it happened. He was definitely a weird guy with psychotic tendencies. But he was not the Antichrist or anything like that. If you grew up in the Julio-Claudian family, you’re guaranteed to be pretty fucked up in the head. Kicking your pregnant wife in her stomach is unforgivable but, even the great Emperor Trajan (98-117) credits Nero’s first 5 years on the throne as being one of the best years in Roman times (Trajan was born in 53AD) so he lived through Nero’s entire reign

This Is what Suetonius says. He's considered a not attendible source considering he comes from the opposite party of Nero. You should say that because Vespasian and his sons rewrote that history to put shit on Nero image. We cant know if he really did those things.
