Windows 11: Clean install from USB (2024)

The video goes through all the steps from the creation of the bootable USB flash drive with the Media Creation Tool and Rufus, to the clean installation of Windows 11 (version 23H2), and completion of the initial setup. However, this instructions will work for older releases too.

Before doing so, make sure so have a WiFi driver for your laptop or make sure you have a Ethernet access otherwise your stuck. Just FYI

Iam bit confused are rufus and windows installation media are two different ways to update window 11 or we have to do same 😢

Thanks for the video. If I have windows 11 pro in an ISO format downloaded to my hard drive that I am getting rid of, can I just copy the iso file over to my portable SSD and install from that? I am using another usb drive with Windows media installation on it to install. I am not sure that I can install the iso file with unpacking it first. Any suggestions on what to do, as my objective is to install a new hard drive SSD then use the two files to install windows 11 to this new drive, as I only have room for one hard drive at one time.

edit to say will the media creation download install a copy of Windows 11 automatically without any download iso on my part? Without the ability to burn such a large download, I cannot use the DVD for installation. I have put this off for so long I am just going to do it, as I cannot mess up a new hard drive too much since I can always just put in my old hard drive.

windows 11 indeed has the better aesthetics, BUT it's so gross that it is compulsory to log in with MS account, and all the set up process is they trying to exploit your data that your data this, there's even an advertising ID lol it's crazy
