Also yep many have mentioned Chris Titus Tech made a video about this yesterday, I swear I didn't copy him, these videos take a few days to make 😅.

(Also fun fact I met him at LTX 2023 this year 👍)

I love how Thio went from trolling us with fake videos on increasing Internet speed to now giving genuine tech tips.

Back in the Windows 9X days, when you installed Windows, you had the options of choosing which accessories & utilities to install. Unfortunately, Microsoft took that option away. Same thing in Microsoft Office

Basically this is the sure way to be safe because a lot of Windows custom out there like Tiny, Specter, Rectivy, Revision, etc. which some people are a little worried about the custom OS they install. The legal, safe, and very minimal bloatware method is only way. Thanks Joe.

This explains why I constantly see people complain about bloatware, while I never got it. Same with adware and stuff. I live in Belgium, and we have a "special" version of Windows that ONLY comes with Microsoft apps installed. Unfortunately, that "special" version also comes with certain semi-important features disabled/not present, but you can enable/download them through the features in the settings. Example: media player.

I can't believe how far you have come, from trolling everyone to having thousands of peoples trusting you for executing a script you made knowing your past. A real glow up!

These videos are amazing. I've tried Windows 11 Pro for Workstations which also doesn't have the third party apps in the start menu but it has all the Microsoft ones and for the ones you can't just uninstall this script is perfect.

one thing that might be neat would be having a list of common apps that are known to be problematic and not problematic to remove

Meanwhile Microsoft: "From now on when you choose 'World', we'll just install all of the bloatware from every country. "

😂

Instead of using that list, you could use Out-Gridview with an -Outputmode of "Multiple" to allow users to select what to uninstall in a window. $uninst = ($all | out-gridview -outputmode "Multiple), and then run a foreach on the $uninst result.

Darn, I could have used this yesterday doing a clean install to test Insider stuff. 😅

For the powershell script, I created something similar, but used a Form window where I can multi-select which ones to remove so it's all just with one run.

I love that you’re using Bliss wallpaper. Occasionally I’ll switch to it and use it for a while. Timeless.

It is honestly infuriating in what direction Microsoft has been going.

Not only do we have to debloat our installs, we also have to go into the CMD after installation to be able to skip the stupid online only account creation.

When linux drivers get better I'll be waving windows goodbye forever. So tired of it.

your script is fine but i would seriously advise against using most third party "debloating" tools as the authors often have no idea what they're breaking

Me with an OEM copy with 10x the bloatware: welp…

There are lots of really great aspects to this video:

* You show us what brought us here straight away without a prolonged intro.
* Little tips like downloading from the Raw button.
* Going over possible errors, the why, and how to fix them.
* Going over the script itself so we know what it's doing.
* Giving credit where it's due.
* And the whole thing is quick, concise, easy to follow, and pleasant to watch.

Very nice video. Well done.

Edit: ...and I just saw you have over 3M subs. Well, I can see why! 😂
