I believe the chokes have no thermal pads. They do not need them as far as I remember. The pads help minimize coil whine but they are not necessary.

like the review cause im gonna make it some changes on it like add thermal pads that are missing and see if a kyrosheet on the 4070 tx sakura and thermal pads on the back of the cards as well.

Crazy they didn't include thermal pads on the VRMs. Are you going to open the card and put some there? Maybe the thermal paste is also not good quality judging from the fact there are thermal pads missing.

How much did you get it for? This card is crazy expensive.

4:27 Thats not the VRM ^^ That are just he Coils. You can Cool them but you dont have to. The VRM (Voltage Regulator module) are the small Parts next to the Coils on the PCB with the Thermal pad on it They generate most of the heat on the VRM Circuit.

At leat the mosfets, from what I know make the most Heat in vrm, is padded. Uv is a must, run the card at 2500mhz and drop the voltage as much as possible.

By chance do you have a website or video to do a DIY single fan conversion of a cheaper 4070? I want to build in a really small case called Velkase Velka 3 but the max length is only 175mm and I don't wanna spend 1k+ on a overprice unit.

I’d love to see more western countries GPU suppliers such as Zotac, MSI, Asus, Gigabyte etc selling ITX single fan RTX 4070 models💪🥰🤩 as I’ve been an ITX and ITX SFF builder for well over a decade now and love to get one of these single fan models for my builds.

I’d love to get a hold of one of these gpus which aren’t available here in Australia 🇦🇺 !!! As an ITX builder, I’m used to small-large price premiums for smaller parts.

Those are voltage coils.. not vrm’s.. the vrm’s had pads on them. Coils do not need to be cooled but can if it’s in a very high demand power situation. A 4070 is not that situation. A 4090 with an overclock doesn’t fall into that situation. Every motherboard I’ve ever owned including several very high end boards, you can see the coils lined up right next to the socket. Not covered. The vrm’s directly behind them? Covered. And those two voltage controllers that weren’t covered aren’t responsible for powering the actual die of the GPU and probably only the memory or the fan and don’t need to be cooled either. Essentially, don’t put a video up on the internet bitching about something, if you don’t know what your bitching about 🤣

Man this is super disappointing. I was hoping to get this because it matched my k39 V3. Also, I don't think you can mod the single fan 3060 TI cooler on a 4070.
