In the Netherlands being homeless is illegal; they force them off the streets and into long term treatment facilities; as in years. This actually helps them and saves their lives. This is cruel to let them live like this until they die from an over dose.

A big thumbs up to all the brave under paid people who clean those public restrooms for us 🇺🇸

I'm almost 60 years old. I happily spent my summers on Venice Beach. The beach was clean, lots of vendors ...it was a little paradise. I would NEVER have foreseen that it would come to this. 😢🎉

Mad respect to the police, clean-up staff and GIV for enabling us to see it... because if we can't see and understand what's going on, nothing will change for the better.

This is the real story. I haven’t watched the tv news in yrs. Thank God for people like you. Addiction and homelessness is so heartbreaking.

I live in Long Beach. I'm surrounded by homeless people in my home. Every window in my home I look out, I see this scene. It triggers my anxiety and depression so bad, I seldom leave (I'm on the bus, which is a horror to ride) my home. Truly disheartening because I live 4 blocks from the beach and I'm afraid to walk alone day or night.

These city workers are so admirable. Tough job done with grace. Such a sad situation all around.

This is a prime example of why we need mental facilities again. We need long term rehab centers. Unfortunately California has the weather that attracts transient populations.

I have major respect for these workers taking the time and effort to clean up the streets. The homeless come from all over the country and its so crazy that it’s gotten this bad. Unfortunately many of these homeless folks refuse any kind of help, shelter, or medical services. To see these people living in the tiny Spaces of those bathrooms is insane man. Prayers for Venice and California.

The woman in the orange shirt is an Angel. Can clearly see that she wants to help the homeless.

As I watched this video, I was left with a sadness in my heart for these people. I also want to say how incredibly thankful I am to be able to have a roof over my head and food in my pantry. I will try to do my part in my own city to help. Thanks for this reminder of how life can go so bad. GIV #1 utuber

The guy asleep on the playground set is my son. He comes from a great family. I broke down and cried so hard seeing this. He called me just 4 days ago and said he had went to a shelter. My God

GIV, thanks for the tour of the Venice Beach Bathrooms. I think I'll just postphone my vacation for the time being. I was very moved by the 'Woman and her Dog', there was much Love there and a close bond. Kudos to the cleaners for their empathy and understanding of the situation people find themselves in. ❤

How sad . Our family visited there 10 years ago in 2012 . There were a little bit of homeless, but it was booming and loud and vibrant. Music and families with children were present in the daytime. I remember buying some expensive dresses in Venice that day and restaurants full of families. It breaks my heart. We also visited San Francisco. It wasn’t so bad as it is now. We visited Chinatown and Japantown. We felt safe.
