Working in partnership with SEGRO, the £10million Leigh Road Bridge is one of the largest infrastructure projects in the history of Slough Trading Estate. During a single night time operation, the steel bridge, weighing almost 1000 tonnes, was successfully launched over the Great Western Railway. Upon the Leigh Road Bridge’s completion and official opening in Autumn 2015, traffic is now able to move more freely around the estate, further supporting its vibrant business community. I remember train spotting from the old WW2 gun emplacements on the north side of the bridge in the mid 1950's. Interesting to see this development
