How to Smoke Beef Ribs | Dino Ribs Two Ways

Beef Dino Ribs. The very words make my salivator salivate salivaciously! This was my first go with them, and I did two different styles: a more traditional dry rub "Texas style" pair, and a pair that I started the exact same way but finished in a rich sauce for a more traditional restaurant style braised short rib product. I'll strain and reduce the liquid later and serve those two over mashed potatoes!

Both styles were great, enjoy watching the smoke unfold!

Nice cook Jonathan. Yep, there is room for doing things in different ways. It's gotta be that way. Mix it up and make it fun, and to make it a different kind of good. I think going in the covered pan at 140 is better. You can get too far over into the smoky flavor. Some grew up with it and love it, but I only want a little bit. That's okay too. Everyone's taste and likes are very different. The dino beef ribs looked beautiful. Nice video. And no foolishness all serious, except for the rib sword fighting with the wife. LOL

I sold my 5 year old 22.5 " WSM shortly after I got my LSG 24x40 and I've done beef ribs on both with awesome results. But as much as I've I love my LSG DAMN I miss my WSM. Those ribs look bad ass . Great job.

You need a 2.5 sticker to put on your smoker along with your others. Great video as always. Those dino ribs looked amazing! I may have to try this Monday since it will be my birthday. Or I may try out my new rib hanging thing for my WSM similar to what Phil n Florence has....decisions decisions.

So u still owe us a video on the 2.5 name. Agree with Phil on pulling at 140 and cooking in liquid. What I want you to try next is a comparison between the WSM and the LSG. Throw ribs or brisket on them both (prepared the same way) and see which you like bestest. I’m very impressed with the smoke rings that your WSM produces. Pretty amazing.

can you show how you load your wsm with wood and charcoal, because I never get smoke rings like that out of mine. I do have the 18" version, so that could be.

Those look insane! 2 questions: A) How much wood does your rack in the garage hold? 1/2 cord? B) Why hasn't the LSG been getting any work? Everything okay there? Mine is scheduled to crate and ship this week!

The ribs look great! What size of WSM is that? I watched some youtube videos where people had trouble getting solid smoke rings on briskets using these smokers, but there is no lack of smoke ring on these ribs?
