Dating apps have forever changed the way couples meet. However, their influence is on the decline and it seems that Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge are in serious trouble. In this video, I try to land a date in 7 days (yes thats tough for me), get a real-life dating coach to roast me lol, and explore how loneliness among men is an epidemic that no one is talking enough about. An educational adventure of modern day romance ;)

Howdy everyone! As always, here is a comment explaining a BTS learning I had in making this video. This is the longest project I've made to date but somehow... one of the fastest to edit. Before we even started filming, Ken and I really wanted to make sure we stuck a story close to the Hero's Journey (Harmon Circle). If you look closely, a lot of the bits and elements we created were based on that (ex. character in comfortable location, a call to adventure, a refusal to that adventure, a mentor, crossing the threshold, etc.). of course, the story takes a turn as most do, but having this structure made the edit a lot simpler.

Thought I would share, let me know what you all think of this story! Really want to own our corner of the internet with these mini-movies. 'Till next time!

Dating apps have led to this pervasive ghosting culture that we currently reside in, as well as making people discardable and overall more lonely and insecure than ever before....

Love that you deleted the apps at the end, honestly meeting people in person is the best way in my opinion congrats on your date 🎉

The moral of the story is that dating apps incentives it to keep users using their app and convert them into subscribers. Thus, one must delete those apps and meet and interact with the real world to meet others is still the best way. I wiped everything from the dating app and I talk to people in real life which is far better results than an app.

"Off to a hot start, and then nothing since." That always happens to me too. I'm 100% convinced these apps give you matches when you first sign up to try and trick you into paying for the subscription, and then if you don't pay after a few days it just buries your profile. I'm fully convinced these apps do that.

Just go out with friends to hobby related events. Concerts, art shows, classes/workshops, volunteering, clubs, excersize groups, wine tastings, etc. It’s way easier when you have friends to meet people.

I been in dating apps for while now.The bad thing about it just cause I got many matches it never lead to successful dates. Many were time wasters.

I met a woman thru work and we instantly hit it off. Meeting people in real life is always going to have a much better success rate.

As a 20 yr old woman, I’ve tried dating apps a couple of times. I hate the idea of limiting someone down to a profile that doesn’t fully capture their personality. You can feel out who a person truly is and if you have chemistry when meeting in person. When I have liked someone, it wasn’t because of an immediate physical attraction. It was how comfortable I felt around them and the way they interacted with me that drew me to them. I felt a connection with a guy I work with and asked him out. He told me I was sweet but doesn’t date coworkers. Even at the risk of rejection, go for it! It could be the best decision of your life!

This video took the most wholesome turn ever. I loved every second of it. As someone with no love experience whatsoever I enjoyed this video a lot and agreed with everything you said and it was incredibly well made! Thank you Tejas!

The quality on this channel is insane and as somebody who’s recently moved on from a relationship I’ve been weighing if I want to try dating apps. On the one hand majority of my friend group uses it and has success but on the other it just seems so superficial that it isn’t worth it. Amazing video this channel is going to explode in popularity soon with this high quality content

I think the best comparison for dating apps is a casino. They make the rules, the odds are against you, and they profit off of your failure. They want you to think you can hit the jackpot but don't want you to, they want you to keep playing. Never used one, but it just sounds like social gambling if you will.

I gotta admit, this was a really good video and personally really well timed. I’ve been considering dating apps recently but dread the thought of using one, and this video helped me make an informed decision on how I want to live my life. Anyways, congrats on your date! This video was awesome, and you are criminally under viewed lol

My current girlfriend I met in real life. I never used dating apps, but in school I used to use apps that were for connecting to people like you. It was more just to meet more people and possibly make friends. I haven’t been able to keep a single one of them, and the reason I think for this is because there just is no personal connection. There is something very raw and fun and just colorful about meeting a new person who you have things in common with in person. Because online we have no obligation to continue a conversation or even start one, we feel much more disconnected from them. Humans need a personal connection, and it’s hard to find something like that if it’s not in person.
