I agree with you 100%, this has no place in the PDC, but in a competitive situation I think the players would try to succeed by any means necessary... At the end of the day, it's the callers verdict that you go by

People would have had money on a correct score, and Van de Pas knew what number he took his dart out.

In a league match, you own up to that if a caller makes a mistake, but if a PDC caller makes an error in your favor, it's not your fault, it's theirs. Calling isn't an easy job by any means, but there's not much excuse to get it that wrong, and I don't fault Benito at all about that.

nice recap and good catch on that Big Ben debacle. I like Benito but that was wrong if he saw it. How can he not see it? exactly. Young kid hopefully he learns from this. Love the commentary on the clicks and pennies lol. still chuckling on that one, easier to pass the begging bowl than it is to actually put out a product that gets interest. Good stuff keep up the good work. Been saying for some time now, darts needs a news magazine type show done weekly at least. Something for the players, something for the fans, and a little darting rumor and controversy never hurts either for fun.

Gerwin Price took out a 41 when he needed 31 against Robert Thornton..that in my eyes wasnt cheating as the ref miscounted but Gerwins reaction probably made the ref say game shot and match..

they is no place in cheating in darts at al.l its all about spirit of the game. ive had to deal with this as a vice captain

I'm not sure I would call it cheating, I would just call it bad sportsmanship. Ultimately it should be the callers responsibility to make sure the scoring is correct and not the players. You say you wouldn't do it but you don't play for hundreds of thousands of pounds. as for other pros not doing it, I've yet to see a player correct a call if it helps the other player out. Even Phil Taylor missed a double that was called in and never said anything.
