Happy New Year Steve!  I loved this episode, agree it was refreshing - so much of Black Mirror is dark & depressing, I'm always pleasantly surprised by how funny & campy the show can be too.  I also liked the season's first episode being more humorous & colorful (like they did w/ Nosedive in season 3) before going dark (Arkangel & Crocodile this season, Playtest & Shut Up & Dance in season 3).  Happy you're reviewing this show and doing each episode individually.

That just exactly what I thought and debated with some people, Daly wasn't that bad and he should've recreated them but just like a puppet of them without feelings, because I understand his frustrations but giving them consience was stupid on his part.

I'm glad there's somebody who acknowledged that, because people have been saying his character was completely evil or toxic, I know he has some problems but I think those started because no one respected him. Btw he didn't deserve to die in my opinion.

I think the indulgent world Daly created for himself gave him a platform to become pretty evil... perhaps his staff ‘had it coming to them’ in his mind, but when Nanette arrived, her first day even, she expressed admiration, even a bit of a crush towards him. He had no reason to ‘punish’ her... his shortsighted bravado & paranoia fueled that whole move... and then with the later reveal that he’d recreated Walton’s kid just to torture him? new levels of deplorable...

Hey Steve! I found out your channel because of sharp objects and now I just have to watch every serie you had analysed haha. Of course Black Mirror is one of my favorites and now I've been watching for the first time the star trek original series and in the third episode there is an alien with super powers that removed a girl face making she look just like this girl in black mirror. They copied that from there, people had those creepy ideas already in the 70's! Cheers from Brazil!

The digital DNA replicator isn't a plot hole. It's a method of progressing the story. It IS science fiction. You're going to have a device that sometimes you have to just accept. Like Superman's powers or Wolverine's healing.

No redeeming qualities in Daly. Completely EVIL. I felt so creeped out by him in the "real world." If a man looked at me the way that man looked at the women in the office.. no. I feel that if he didn't have that video game, he would have been a serial rapist and/or serial killer. He's gross.
