This episode I cover installing the 110L fresh water tank, 12V pump, mains inlet, shower mixer and most of the plumbing.

My water tank is custom made for the Mercedes Sprinter LWB and is shaped to the chassis. I bought this from Atlas Tanks in Moffat Heads, Sunshine Coast, Australia.

All the plumbing piping, T-Joins, elbows, adapters etc are from Camec in Archerfield, Brisbane, Australia.

I was waiting on the grey water tank to be completed from Atlas Tanks, and was also waiting on an Oxygenics Fury RV shower head from America. I will install these and the kitchen sink in Plumbing Pt. 2.

Doing the plumbing was a fun step and wasn't too hard to learn (similar concepts to electrical). Using the JG (John Guest) connector methods made it very simple also. I recommend installing tanks underneath your van to take full advantage of this space and save space inside.

Nice work! My biggest concern is the whimpy straps you used @3:30 to support the tank. I’m pretty sure that they’re waay to light duty. You should have a look at the factory mounts for fuel tanks, etc. Especially considering that it’s probably going to weigh plenty when full, and think of the “live loads” while moving, sudden stops, etc. with all the water sloshing around.

Pretty impressive for a first timer. Been plumbing RVs for over 30 years now. Right now I build Class B motor homes, Sprinter and Transits. I have never been so appreciative of the vehicle lift in our shop as I was while watching you working on your back under that Sprinter. That can be a tight squeeze.

I'm going to remember the tip about using two holesaws on one arbour, previously in similar situations I've screwed a sheet of ply to whatever I need to enlarge the hole. I prefer your idea, plus it works where you can't screw anything around the hole.
